About Tinyade's Placement:

A student of Bemrose Community School, Tinyade has proved to be our most focused work experience placement to date. She swiftly produced a sequence of images on the theme 'Me, Myself, I' that were to form part of her GCSE assesment portfolio and which exploited the range of printmaking techniques available to her during her week's stay at Green Door.

Unusually for such a young student, Tinyade already had a well-developed sense of colour and was the first of our work placement students in incorporate colour into her finished prints with such deceptive ease.


Tinyade's Statement:

My name is Tinyade Rachel Chonde. I go to Bemrose School. I am 16 years old. I came to Green Door for my work experience. Seriously, I had no idea what they were all about. At the time when you are given your work placement, I was told I was going to be print making. 'You what?' That is all I thought. My friend asked me what I was doing for my work experience, I told them print making. They just looked at me blank!

I had no idea what to expect but, the outcome was so amazing. Print making is ... AWESOME :D Who would have thought I was going to enjoy it. It was an experience I am so not going to forget. I got to do all sorts. Obviously I am a natural(: I had so much to show my art teacher. A lot of work and I even got a treat to design my own top. I'd like to thank Anna and Pan for making my experience so enjoyable. They made me feel welcome and now... I am hocked with print making. If I ever get spare time or a day off school, trust me I'll be back.
