About Jack's Placement:

Jack came to us from Long Eaton School for a week in July 2010. He chose to complete a week of collography in order to accompany his chosen project brief of illustrating a song of his choice. Jack is a very conscientious and hard working student who didn't need very much encouragement to produce creative imagery for his prints.


Jack's Statement:

Hi, I'm Jack Eccles. I am 15 and came to Green Door Printmaking Studio for my work experience. I go to Long Eaton School and study art music and history. I chose to do collography whilst here and I really enjoyed it. I learnt a lot about printmaking and not just collography. I enjoyed making and designing the prints as I could use my own imagination and be creative. Most of my designs apart from nightmare are very random ideas and weren't planned at all. I just drew lines where I wanted them. I really enjoyed it here and would recommend it to anyone. It is brilliant and I learnt so many things about papers, inking and how to soak my paper before printing.
