About Rhiannon's Placement:

Rhiannon came to us for a week in July 2011 from Noel Baker Community School.

Rhiannon chose to use her week with us to learn Monoprinting, her careful and intricate drawing style lend itself perfectly to this technqiue and during her stay she produced a number of beautifully considered prints.


Rhiannon's Statement:

Over my week of work experience at Green door I learnt the technique of monoprinting, based on the subject of animals. I made a variety of different prints and really enjoyed the whole experience. One of my best pieces, I think, was the peacock which really reflects the techniques and the sort of art that I personally enjoy (e.g. Nick Morley (See article in 'Printmaking Today' Summer 2011). Thank you to Anna and Pan for giving me this great opportunity and teaching me printmaking.
