About Sian's Placement:

Sian Swindell spent a week on Work Experience at Green Door's new St James' Studio in July 2008. Sian is a GCSE student at Derby's Sinfin Community School and spent her week producing new artwork for her portfolio. In a busy five days Anna Johnson taught her the print techniques of Monoprint, Collagraphy and Photopolymer Etching. Sian was also introduced to the work of a print technician, which gave her an insight into the day-to-day workings of an artist-based studio.
