Experiment with relief printing in this course designed for young printmakers between 13-21 years old *.

Course Information

Create your own prints from your original designs in a supportive environment. Learn about and experiment with mixing your own colours. Print onto different paper types and produce a number of prints towards your portfolio.

Linocut is a relief printing technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used as the relief surface. Lino is a beautifully malleable printing surface. It is a very graphic method of producing an image. Designs can be cut, melted, or carved to create a bold and experimental design.

During this course you will learn how to plan your design, cut your block and produce an edition of prints using handmade papers.
