My printmaking practice involves working fairly intuitively, allowing ideas to form during the working process and taking advantage of accidental finds that appear in the work.

Much of the work makes use of my old print plates, recycling copper pipes and other materials or more recently plastic laminated posters or Tetra Pak type packaging; making use of marks and traces of its past life that still remain in the “plate” to create something new.

Drypoint is my favoured printing technique, inspired by themes from landscape and nature or perhaps for use as a visual score for musicians.
