Self Portrait with Aquaduct
Reduction Linocut
© KATHY EDMONDS
This series is about reflections and outlines in the natural environment. I have spent my professional life engaged in all forms of art and creativity in a variety of roles including youth and community worker, lecturer and gallery educator.
In my spare time I have experimented with different art forms and I began printmaking in 2014, restarting at Green Door Printmaking Studio in 2023.
I love Reduction Linocut as a method because of the transformative process and the results it produces. I hope that you like my work as much as I enjoy making it.

Self Portrait and Aqueduct
Medium: Reduction Linocut
This is from a photograph I took of myself walking across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Froncysyllte , North Wales. It is a favourite place of mine. I was amazed by the ephemeral nature of the cast iron structure being reflected on the grass below me and it reminded me how transitory life is.

Seed Heads and Cobwebs
Medium: Reduction Linocut
