Paved observations of a skyline pedestrian; We Build Cities is a collection of multi-plate photographic etchings from an ongoing personal project of discovery and introspection. These imagined landscapes and simulated skylines behold a constructed world without its human inhabitants, contemplating the fleeting nature of our time on this planet, yet that which we build will remain.

Through these apertures, the viewer is placed in a position of reflection; both as the observer and the observed. A solitary wanderer peering through the windows of a deserted, illusionary city; or, perhaps, a lone soul looking out at the world in isolation. This work invites the beholder to reflect upon their connection to the urban landscape around them and pause in the stillness of the momentary.
