Learn how to create a multi-colour landscapes using the reduction linocut method during this two day course.
What will you learn?
Linocut is a relief printing technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used as the relief surface. Lino is a beautifully malleable printing surface. It is a very graphic method of producing an image. Designs can be cut, melted, or carved to create a bold and experimental design.
Students will learn how to create multi-colour prints from a single block.

- A brief history of relief printing and its terminology
- Paper types, tools and materials in printmaking
- How to produce your own prints using the methods covered
- How to sign and edition your prints
