HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR COURSE

HOW TO FIND US:

You can find us on the ground floor of Banks Mill Studios, Derby. When you arrive at the studio you will need to buzz studio #4 and wait to be greeted. You will also be required to sign in & out of the building’s register for health & safety.

For details about travelling to us and parking, please see our How to find us page.

ARTWORK:

You will be required to have considered the artwork you would like to produce during your course and bring along any ideas, sketches or photographs for inspiration. It is recommended that you bring any digital artwork (graphics, drawings or photographs) on a memory stick, preferably unedited, in its original format.

The preparation of your artwork for your chosen printmaking technique will be covered as part of your course. You do not need to have any prior knowledge of Photoshop in order to undertake our courses at Green Door.

If you would like to ask us about your selected artwork prior to your course, please contact us.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting inky, or bring along an apron (or both!). You will also need to wear comfy shoes as you are likely to be standing at the press during most of the printing section of your course*. We ask that all long hair is tied back and minimal jewellery is worn on hands/wrists.

All other items, such as masks and gloves will be provided as part of your course.
