HOW TO FIND US

Banks Mill Studios is the innovation space for creative and digital industries, located in a landmark building within the heart of Derby City Centre. Green Door Printmaking Studio is based in three large ground floor studios, which has level access from the street via a ramp to the main entrance.

Our studios are on the ground floor of Banks Mill Studios, please ring buzzer #4 and wait to be greeted. You will be required to sign in and out at reception.

ON FOOT:

Banks Mill Studios is approximately a 20 minute walk from Derbion (formally known as the Westfield Centre / Intu Derby), walking up via St Peter’s Street to Victoria Street then The Strand, past the Derby Museum & Art Gallery and up to the Derby College Joseph Wright Centre, across the traffic lights and onto Brook Street / Bridge Street.

BY TRAIN:

The Derby Train Station is within a 30 minute walk of Banks Mill Studios. Train times are available from the National Rail website.

BY BUS:

A bus service operates throughout the day from near the bus station to Friar Gate, from there it is a two minute walk to the corner of Bridge Street and Brook Street. For more information about the bus route, please click here.

BY TAXI:

Alternatively it is a quick 10 minute journey by taxi from the city centre. Taxi’s can be found outside the Derbion, the Derby Train Station or on Victoria Street.

PARKSAFE® AT BOLD LANE:

The ParkSafe® system provides the ultimate in car parking by providing guaranteed security for the vehicle and contents. This car park is approximately a 10 minute walk away from our studios.

ON-STREET PARKING:

Pay and display
Derby city centre has a pay and display charging system. Charges have to be paid on many streets within the city and apply every day, including Bank Holidays.

Disabled badge holders
Disabled badge holders can park for free for up to three hours in dedicated on-street parking spaces. And free unlimited parking:

• in areas covered by on-street charging and limited waiting
• in areas covered by residents-only parking schemes

Car parking charges apply to all disabled badge holders in all Council owned car parks.
