SERVICES: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
It is not necessary for the customer to have signed a document for these terms and conditions to apply. If the customer commissions any printing service from Green Door Printmaking Studio then the customer will be deemed to have satisfied themselves as to the terms applying and have accepted these terms and conditions in full.
Pricing and Quotes
A full quote will be made available for any order. Quotes are valid for the goods specified for 28 days from date of quote. Alterations (for example, item quantities, artwork changes, artwork dimensions etc.) may incur a cost rise which will be reflected in a new quote. Please note, it is the responsibility of the customer to request a re-quote under these circumstances. Green Door Printmaking Studio reserves the right to change pricing to reflect current market without notice.
Orders
All orders will be set out in the Order Agreement, which must be approved and signed by the customer for an order to proceed. Responsibility for the accuracy of this Agreement lies solely with the customer: mistakes cannot and will not be replaced once your order has entered the production process. Every new Order Agreement supersedes all other previous Agreements. Acceptance of the Order Agreement and payment of the deposit means you have agreed to all of the Terms and Conditions detailed within this document.
Communication
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all information relating to an order is sent to Green Door Printmaking Studio in a fixed, readable format such as email. Orders can be discussed verbally via telephone (upon request) but any specific information must be sent via email in order for a permanent record to be retained. Please ensure emails are sent with a common subject header (we suggest using your project’s name) in order to avoid potential confusion caused by multiple separate emails.
Payment
A minimum 50% deposit (of the order total) is required to begin processing your order. Payment in full is expected when the order is complete and before the studio will release the order for delivery or collection. If at all concerned about the final print, the customer is invited to partake in our Sample or Proofing services prior to embarking on a large-scale print run. Please note, unless specifically agreed to by both parties prior to the issuing of an invoice, Green Door Printmaking Studio does not accept the remaining payment in part or via instalments.

Default
Green Door Printmaking Studio requests full payment upon receipt of all invoices issued. All invoices must be paid, at the latest, by 30 calendar days of the invoice date. Accounts unpaid 30 days after the date of invoice will be considered in default. Green Door Printmaking Studio retains the statutory right to claim interest and/or compensation on the total costs in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Order Turnaround
Green Door Printmaking Studio requires an average turnaround time of 7-10 working days (please note this does not include weekends or bank holidays). This time commences from the moment the Order Agreement has been signed and returned along with deposit, and the artwork has been been received in a ready-to-go format (for full artwork specifications, please see details below). Any delays in sending this information or problems with the artwork will result in an increased lead time on the order. Orders with a higher level or complexity may require additional time, in which case this will be discussed and agreed upon prior to order processing.
Artwork Guidelines
Art must be provided at 300 DPI or in vector format. Acceptable formats are .png, .jpg, .psd, .tiff, .ai or .pdf. Art should be scaled to the desired print size (artwork dimensions will be confirmed with the customer on the Order Agreement) and checked prior to sending for any errors of spelling or composition as Green Door Printmaking Studio will take no responsibility for any unidentified errors once the print process has begun.
Artwork Approval
Artwork must be checked for spelling, color, sizes ordered, placement of the art and accuracy of artwork by the customer. You may request a mock-up of the print prior to commencement of the order. It is very important to look over every detail of the mock-up, as this is how your order will print. Green Door Printmaking Studio will not accept responsibility for corrections not implemented and/or requested after artwork approval. Any modifications requested after customer approval will result in production delays and could require additional expenses.
Deadlines
All orders with a specific deadline must receive written confirmation from Green Door Printmaking Studio. Requesting a deadline does not make it effective, as scheduling often needs to be confirmed by the studio. Please note a rush-fee may apply if these is not enough time to complete your order under normal circumstances (ie: during our usual turnaround time).
Stock
Green Door Printmaking Studio is available to purchase garments and papers required for print runs at the request of the customer. These costs will be included in the final invoice. The customer agrees to reimburse Green Door Printmaking Studio for any additional expenses incurred for the completion of the order (for example, delivery of these items that may not originally have been quoted for). In the case of customer-provided stock (for example, T-shirts or custom made items) Green Door Printmaking Studio accepts no liability for any of the materials lost in the print process, and a customer supplies their own stock at their own risk. Garments provided must be in factory-fresh condition, and not worn or washed.
Sample Service
Green Door Printmaking Studio is available to provide a sample service to customers who do not wish to embark on a large print run without first testing artwork and/or materials. Our proofing service is available for a min. order of 10 items. Pricing for this service will depend on order details. Please contact Green Door Printmaking Studio to request a quote.
Proofing Service
Our proofing service ensures that the customer can see visuals of the finished product throughout the printing process. Green Door Printmaking Studio is available to send through photographs of the print/s in progress to ensure that the final outcome is as the customer desires. If you would like to see proofs of your order as it is being produced, please note this on your Order Agreement. There is no additional cost for this service, however, please note, due to potential delays involved in correspondence time, this service may not be available if a rush order is also requested.
Materials/Sundries
Green Door Printmaking Studio is a more environmentally sound studio, with the use of eco-friendly materials at the core of our ethos. We print using water-based inks and do not allow the use of solvents in our studio. All of the inks and materials we use, where possible, are archival (PH neutral) and organically sourced. All additional items required for the print run will be supplied on behalf of the customer by Green Door Printmaking Studio. Costs for these additional materials and sundries are included in the cost of your print run.
Delivery
Orders placed can be picked up in person from the studio (this can be arranged with Green Door Printmaking Studio) or delivered via post. As standard, we ship all items out via Royal Mail’s Signed For delivery system. If you require a Next Day delivery service, please ensure that you specify this on your Order Agreement. Please consider delivery times when placing your order (especially if you are working towards a deadline) as Green Door Printmaking Studio cannot be responsible for any delays caused by the delivery method. Green Door Printmaking Studio does not accept liability for goods damaged in transit.
Order Cancellation
In the event that an order is cancelled by a customer, the refund will be based on the status of the order. Depending order status, the customer may have to pay a restocking fee, or for the stock used. If the order is completed, no refund will be issued.
Under-Runs & Spoilage
Green Door Printmaking Studio will not be responsible for under-runs or spoilage up to 3% on jobs of 100 items or more, and up to 10% on jobs of less than 100 items (spoilage must be more than 10 items for a reprint). Please bear this in mind when ordering as it is never a bad idea to order extras. We will refund you the cost of any items shorted from your order but will not process a reprint for less than 10% of your order (or 10 items minimum).
Claims & Returns
Green Door Printmaking Studio will go to any lengths to ensure that your order is printed correctly; however, due to the manual nature of screen printing, and the natural tendency for unforeseen problems to occur, mistakes can happen. Please note, there is no way to effectively and efficiently measure an exact distance as each item is loaded onto the press by hand and printed manually. If you request, for example, a margin of 2.5cm we will use that as a guide and do our best to make sure that all prints within the run hit that target. However, there may be some discrepancy in this measurement from print to print. As such, this will not be considered a misprint and Green Door Printmaking Studio will not reprint or refund these items. As all goods are bespoke items, Green Door Printmaking Studio does not offer refunds, except in cases where a drastic error has been made, such as incorrect art, or wrong garment colour. If you feel your order is defective, then Green Door Printmaking Studio will do everything possible to rectify the issue in a timely fashion. All claims must be submitted within 72 hours of date of delivery.
